Jay and Kelley's wedding was held in Escondido, CA. However, they are from Washington State, like me!!! :) It was kind of funny how they found me to be their photographer, because they did a search in California and found me there because I currently live in San Diego, CA. But when they did the search and got in contact with me I was up in Washington. It worked out great because we were able to do their engagement session up in Washington and get to know each other a bit before the wedding.
While I truly love the process of the entire wedding day, I think one of my favorite times to photograph is the getting ready process. Capturing the details, the anticipation, and the range of emotions....the intimate moments are a huge part of why I love to do weddings!
This was a special moment where Kelley's dad was able to see her for the first time, dressed now as the woman he will be giving away.

Jay and Kelley rented a fun old time car for their get away after the ceremony. It was such a great way to do their first toast and ride off to the reception for more celebrating.

Hi Maija,
It's been a while since I've talked to you but I can't wait to see the others from Jay and Kelley's wedding. I tried to catch you that night toward the end but missed you and so this is about the only way I could catch-up.
